I LOVE when my girls come to visit. It's sooooooo much fun! This weekend Missy, Chrissy, and Chrissy's new rommie Jolena came to visit. We had a blast! Thurs when Chrissy and Jolena got in, we went to the Palms and started out a calm evening at the center bar. I knew they would probably be tired from the time change and travelling so I suggested we do something low key but still on the strip since Jo's never been here before. Well that didn't last long. We did hang out at center bar for awhile but then decided to go upstairs to Moon. I really like that club. It's roomy and the balcony is huge. Friday morning we got ready and headed to Wet Republic at MGM. I'd never been there before and I really liked it. I felt like crap, even tho I didn't drink that much at all on Thursday, so I couldn't enjoy myself to my full potential. It was still fun though. After we got home and showered, we headed to Mandalay Bay to see Joel McHale from Talk Soup. I really had never watched the show so I had no idea what to expect. He was pretty good - very sarcastic. I loved his comments about the Kardashian clan. That had me cracking up! After the show we grabbed a bite to eat and headed home to crash. We'd had a long two days already!
Saturday we woke up refreshed and ready to go. We headed down to the Rio pool for some fun in the sun! It was nice to be able to lay down at the pool and relax while hanging out. Usually you are squished standing or paying a butt load for a bed. It was much warmer on Saturday and felt so good to soak up that vitamin D! On the way home we stopped at In an Out burger, Chrissy's favorite, and chowed down. Then after a much needed nap we all got ready and headed to LAX. We all had an absolute blast! We hung out with a bachelor party at their table, which saved us a ton of money (wink wink) and the guys ended up being really cool. There was only one dude that was mega creepy, but the others kept him away. It was nice to hang out and not feel like every dudes intention is to bang you. We got home SUPER late and Chrissy and I were laughing as we went to bed because the sun was coming up haha.
Sunday we headed back to Rio pool for a bit and then headed over to Hard Rock. My contact took FOREVER at Rehab so Jolena and I were the only ones that ended up in. Apparently they had huge drama at the door and even stopped letting people in for awhile. I have never seen that place so jam packed - not even last year on Memorial Day weekend! It was INSANE. Jo had a blast being star struck by Jamie Foxx and Chris Brown. They are both really cute in person. I pushed Jo toward their cabana so she could take shots from Foxx. It was quite funny. She was so excited and I tried so hard to get pictures but it just didn't work out. After being elbowed 100 times and being surrounded by completely wasted people, we decided to head out. We went to Pat's house and attempted to play poker, which really only turned into laughing and chowing on pizza. Yum. I still don't know how I didn't feel like garbage on Monday!
I was sad to drop them off at the airport on Monday morning. I HATE HATE HATE saying goodbye to my family and friends. It's the worst ever and I get so depressed. But, I will be seeing them all in a little over a month so that always helps when I have something to look forward to.
I'm getting super excited for Memorial Day weekend. I can't remember if I mentioned but Pat and I are going to Hawaii!!! We have a wedding that Saturday so we are making it our vacation for the year. We both have never been and we both desperately need a relaxing vacation. We are going to Kona on the big island and are staying at the most amazing resort ever. Omg I can't wait to share pictures :)
