I'm starting to become over this master's program quick. And I know that it all depends on the instructor. It's starting to make me self-evaluate being a teacher and making sure that I present in an exciting way. This prof I have now is really annoying and so "by the books" that it's really annoying. The last few classes have been great! Lots of great discussions and not so much emphasis on the semantics of assignments and APA and blah blah blah. I can't wait for this class to be over. Three more weeks....three more weeks....three more weeks.
This weekend was pretty fun. Friday Pat and I had sushi at our fav place and Ryan and Becky joined us after for drinks. Then we went and played putt-putt and had a blast until this bia that worked there kicked us off at midnight. We only had two holes to go too. I had to hold my tongue because I was so pissed because she came out with this big ole attitude and snapped back at us. The first guy that came out and said that they were closing said that the manager would either let us finish on a later date or give us passes to play a free round. Then the girl came out and said he was stupid and there's no way the manager would do that and we needed to leave. Ugh, I just can't stand ignorant, annoying people! After that, Ryan and Becky went home and Pat and I just hung out and had some hilarious conversations (vodka infused, of course). We even called his sister and Ryan and someone else too to get their opinion because our conversation was getting so intense. Funny stuff. Saturday we laid around all day and didn't get up until 7:30. Pat pampered me and it was wonderful. He went and got me breakfast, made me something to eat later on and gave me a wonderful massage. He's so good to me! After we got ready, we headed down to Luxor to go to dinner for Lindsey #2's birthday. We were SO pissed because we ended up having to park at NY NY and taking a cab because there was NO parking anywhere due to the Britney concert. We almost turned around and went home, but decided to suck it up. It was fun so I'm glad that we decided to go. Then we went to Monte Carlo to see Zowie Bowie. I love seeing them!
This week has been so long already. Monday was a HORRIBLE day. I feel so stressed out lately. I just have way too much on my plate I think. With all of these trainings I've signed up for and adding on more responsibility at work, it's just too much. It actually makes me really freaked out for the future because I can barely survive just taking care of myself, let alone a husband some day and hopefully kids! I don't know how working moms do it! So, to help I'm trying to change my routine and go to the gym in the morning before work. Today was my first day and I wanted to shoot myself when the alarm went off but I made myself get up and was at the gymm at 6. I do have to admit that it was nice to have my workout over with and not have to worry about it later. After school Dana and I went to a training on equity and diversity. I'm all for diversity but I get really annoyed when an African American just speaks about being black. If you don't want people to discriminate you for being black then don't think of yourself as that way! Ugh. Anyway.....
