Wow

Saturday night was one of the craziest nights I've had living in Vegas. Jodi and I were totally due for a night out on the town since it had been weeks since we've gone out together. We started the night at Pat's watching the UFC fight, which was a boring fight btw. After the fight, me, Jodi, Pat and Jimmy drove down to Ceasars to go to Pure. Once we got there, Pat and Jimmy realized that their doorman friend works at LAX now. So we decided to try that club out. It's only been open a week. Since the VMA's were Sunday, there were mad parties all over town. Christina Aguilera was hosting the party at LAX, yet I didn't see her. There were masses of people though. The actual club is pretty cool. It's sort of a gothic type decor and almost looks like a theater. When we got in, we walked around checking it all out and settled on this balcony at one of the bars. The DJ announced that the cast of the Hills was there but I never did see them either. Anyway, we were just chillin out when Paris Hilton decided to make her appearance and dance out on this balcony showing off her hoo-ha. Who dances scantilly in a dress up on a balcony in front of thousands of people? oh yea, Paris. The DJ played her gay ass song too, which of course had Jodi and I cracking up. Shortly after that, Criss Angel made some sort of speech as well. We decided to go down to where the DJ was and check out the dance floor. We were pretty close to the booth, when Akon came out and started throwing money at the crowd. I'll admit, I did get pretty excited because Pat told me that he say Floyd Maywether Jr. do it at Tao with $100 bills. So we were grabbing money out of the air and then realized he was throwing $1. Nice. Jodi and I collected a whole $9. That's not even enough money for a drink with tip! It was pretty humorous though. I had to laugh at Akon because it got me to thinking about these "stars" and how pathetic they are. I kind of wish that we would have went down to the Palms yesterday just to be part of the VMA experience but I can only imagine what a nut house that place must have been. It was pretty neat to watch it all on TV knowing that this was all taking place 5 miles away...
