Blown Away

Well this weekend couldn't have gone any better. I am seriously on cloud nine right now. Pat, Jodi and I all flew to Detroit on Thursday morning. It was actually an ok flight since I wasn't completely bored twiddling my thumbs. I got about 2 hours of sleep though and sitting in the middle seat, I didn't get comfortable enough to take a nap. We arrived safely and my momma picked us up from the airport. Oh, rewind...we watched Meet The Parents on the plane and I think I had Pat completely freaked out. But everything went well. We got to my parents house and my mom and I immediately turned on Guitar Hero and guess who is now hooked? Yup. Pat. Yessssssssssssss. Thurs nite we hung out with Robbie and CJ at one of the local bars. Friday we ate lunch at Crave and then went golfing. It was freezing and windy outside and after the 7th hole I was ready to leave. I didn't have a very good golf game. Friday night we went out with the girls and their boys to Mallies. This is the first time I've gone there and had a positive experience. I still don't prefer that bar though. When we left, Pat and I went home and for some reason laid on the living room floor and just cracked up at each other for like 45 minutes. I still have no idea what started it or what was so funny, but we could not stop. It was honestly one of the funnest times I've ever had with someone. You know you've got something good when you can be in each others company and just laugh about anything and everything.

Anyway, Saturday we got up early, picked Missy up, and went to the UofM/Notre Dame football game. We tailgated and had sooooooooo much fun. UofM won, of course, by a landslide. It was a pretty good game, although it would have been nice if ND could have offered a little bit of competition. But hey, who's complaining? Sat night we just went to DoHickey's and hung out with the girls again. We were all so zonked from the game.

Pat's been in Atlanta now since Sunday afternoon. Jodi and I had a seat between us on the plane home since he was supposed to fly with us. But he had to go to Atlanta for work instead. He was due back tomorrow but he text me earlier and said he was coming home tonight!!! Yay! I'm so excited! It's been weird spending every waking moment with him for like 4 days straight and then not seeing him at all for two days. I miss him :( My family absolutely LOVES him and I couldn't be happier. This weekend was seriously the best weekend EVER and I'm so happy right now. I've finally found a good one! :)

Yesterday I started school. It went really well. I didn't throw up this year on the first day so that was good. My kids are very sweet. I have a few handfuls but hopefully they'll be manageable. I was surprised by a nice vase of flowers yesterday. Pat sent them to me to wish me a good first day back to school. He's so sweet. I can't believe tomorrow is already Wednesday. This week is flying by already!!
