Kids started yesterday and it was an interesting day to say the least. My class so far isn't that bad, except for the fact that I have 19 boys and 10 girls. I was thinking tonight that I need to come up with an incentive program based around sports or something that boys will respond to so that I can keep their attention. The girls I'm not worried about at all. This is the first year that I haven't had ghetto fabulous girls. They are all very nice, smart, and very quiet. I would much prefer to deal with immature boys than bratty girls! Most of my boys seem like good kids, but they can be squirmy. One little boy is going to be a challenge because I feel like he shows signs of Aspbergers Syndrome but apparently it's been brought to his parents' attention and they don't think there's anything wrong. For the first hour of class yesterday he was freaking out about his backpack and losing his water bottle and was crawling around on the carpet. His teacher last year, my friend Michelle, told me that he HATES change and it freaks him out. Today he was better. I think I'm just going to observe for awhile and see what happens...
I can't believe how exhausted I am this week! My feet hurt really bad too! I think I'm gonna go take a nice hot bath and then read my book :)
