Well I fell in love....with Hawaii. It was the most beautiful, awesome, relaxing place I have ever been. Pat and I had the best time and I cried at the airport when we were leaving. We arrived last Wed afternoon and headed straight to our hotel - the Hilton Waikoloa. Omg it was like a tropical oasis. The resort was HUGE and had a natural lagoon throughout the property that fed in through the ocean and a boat that could transport you around the hotel. It was way cool. We saw tons of fish and Pat was so amazed to see some of them in the wild. We even saw a giant baraccuda named Elvis that was said to be over 65 pounds! We spent most of our time hanging out at the hotel, playing in the pool, on the slide, snorkeling, eating, etc. The rest of the time we were at the Four Seasons with the wedding party. That hotel was amazing too. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and it was extremely chill. I loved the hotel but I was glad that we stayed at ours because there was so much more to do. Friday night we enjoyed a pre-wedding dinner on the beach, complete with an astronomer and hawaiian music. The astronomer showed us Saturn and it was so cool! It didn't even look real! Saturday was the wedding and it was so amazing. I have never attended a prettier wedding. The ceremony was overlooking the ocean at sunset and was so romantic. Then they had drinks and appetizers near the beach and we were able to take tons of pictures of the sunset. Afterward, we were taken to the reception venue on the property, which was gorgeous. Everything was outside and again, overlooked the ocean. The decor was very detailed and the food was excellent. Then the following morning we had a post-wedding brunch (also very yummy) and then spent the rest of the day at our hotel before going to the airport. Pat and I are already trying to figure out when we can go back. He was actually really cute because Tuesday he cooked me dinner and it reminded me of Hawaii. We had fish tacos, a hawaiian stuffed chicken breast, mango margaritas, and chill music. He's so thoughtful when he does stuff like that :)
Well today has been a great day! I checked out of work and turned in my keys until August. WOO HOO. I can't wait to just relax for awhile and take time for myself. I have projects in mind but first I just want to chill. My parents arrived yesterday and my grandparents and aunt are coming tomorrow for my master's graduation. I'm excited. Everyone is staying at my house so it will be quite interesting. I love having company!
