I cannot seem to keep up on this blog at all. Actually, that's how I've been feeling about life in general lately. I feel as if I am always one step behind. I am SO busy that I never have to time to just sit and watch TV or relax. It's starting to really stress me out and I find that I am becoming bitter at work. I feel bad but my kids are driving me bananas lately and I feel like all I do is rip them a new one everyday. Two more weeks til break....two more weeks....
I had a fantastic Thanksgiving break. Pat and I flew to Michigan on the red eye Tuesday night. It was the worst flight EVER. I think I am boycotting Spirit for awhile. They suck....terribly. I was so uncomfortable and annoyed the entire flight. I don't think I really slept either, which sucked. When we got there, my dad picked us up at the crack of dawn and my mother greeted us at the door. Pat and I stayed up for a little bit and then crashed. I got up when my mom got home and helped her make desserts for Thanksgiving and dinner for that night. Jackie brought Sydney over and ate dinner with us. I love that little girl so much. She is so cute!!! After Jackie's visit, Pat and I went up to Malarkey's to see Chrissy and Michelle. It was pretty busy and we had alot of fun!
Thanksgiving we woke up and headed to my cousin's house for dinner. She had her side of the family there too so it was a big crowd. It was great to see my family again. I hadn't seen most of them since Christmas last year. When we went home, my dad and I went to get movies and hung out the rest of the night. It was a perfect evening!
Friday we went to my grandma's to celebrate Thanksgiving/Christmas. My grandma's dinner was AWESOME and we had lots of laughs and good conversations. Then we transitioned into Christmas and opened up our gifts. I bought myself a new pair of shoes and a really cute coat that I got on sale for $15! I was so stoked! Afterward we met Chrissy again up at Malarkey's but didn't stay too long. I was so tired and it was way too smokey in there so we left.
Saturday was the reunion and although it was fun, I was disappointed in the turnout. Only like 50 people showed up I would guess. Whatever, like I said it was still fun and I got to wear my new black dress. It's so hot! After the reunion we went to a bar downtown with Robyn and Mark. I'd never been there so it was cool. Pat was scared to go downtown but we were fine :)
Sunday we just lounged most of the day until it was time to go to the airport. We, of course, had to stop and eat at Boston Market since it's Pat's favorite and we don't have them here. It was yummy. This time saying goodbye wasn't as bad because I will see my parents in two weeks when they come for Christmas! Yay! I'm so excited :)
Tomorrow we are going to pick up the Christmas trees. I can't wait!
