Today we took 200 kids to the movies at the Orleans. It was their incentive prize for passing both sections of their state mandated tests. So anyone that passed was able to go to the movies. It was actually alot of fun! I was a little apprehensive because that's alot of kids to take on a field trip, but it was all the good kids so they were fine. The Orleans was kind enough to open up the theater early and have a special screening just for us. We gave them all a small bag of popcorn and a capri sun on the bus so they had a snack inside the theater. We saw the new Ice Age movie and it was really cute. I love kid movies. I think I laughed more than they did! And to top it all off, the two kids sitting next to me were holding hands the entire time! I didn't know what to do. They're my students but I hate embarassing kids unless they piss me off. I think I'll say something to them in private tomorrow. It's kind of funny though that they had enough balls to do that right next to me! Geez!
I'm really looking forward to this weekend. Sunday is Dana's birthday so we are going to celebrate Saturday at Green Valley Ranch pool. I've never been to that pool so it will be interesting to see what it's like. Saturday night is fight night so we'll be watching the fight somewhere, if not hosting it at Pat's. Apparently there is a chance that we MAY be going to Brock Lesner's after party at some house. A friend of ours knows his trainer so we'll see what happens. Either way, I'm excited for this fight cuz it's gonna be good!!!
