It's So Dang Hot!

Well the last couple of days have been over 100 degrees. Yay, it's starting already. (insert sarcasm!) Wouldn't you know that our AIR CONDITIONERS had to go out at school starting yesterday around 2. I thought it would be fixed today, but nooooooooooo. The maintenance people got it working again in the morning for like 20 minutes and then it went out again and then it started working again at the end of the day but by the time I left it was broken. Thankfully it's only supposed to be in the 80s the rest of the week. I was sweating and felt totally disgusting today at work. And on top of it, we had spring pictures. Thank goodness ours were in the morning!

I had a really good weekend. Me, Jodi and Pat hung out the majority of the time. Friday night we had a fiesta with taco salad and margaritas. We rented "Good Luck Chuck" and of course I fell asleep right toward the end. What I did see, I really liked so I'll have to get it again. Saturday we ran a few errands and then headed over to the pool at the Golden Nugget. That's the pool with the shark tank in the middle of it. It's really cool, but with the casino being downtown, everyone there is ghetto. And there were a million kids. We were gonna go to Hard Rock pool since we were there earlier in the day but some of Pat's friends were already at Golden Nugget. Oh well. Then Sat night me, Pat, and Jodi went to the best Italian restaurant ever. Pat's taken me before but it's been awhile and I wanted Jodi to try it. It's so good. My mouth is watering now just thinking about it! After dinner, we went to this local bar where Pat's brother-in-law works and had some drinks there. We were the life of the party. I'm sure we were totally obnoxious but everyone was so serious in there! It was really fun. Then after that we went to Red Rock to see this show Zowie Bowie. It's like a concert kinda and they're there every weekend. They sing all the popular songs to dance to and it's always a blast. Jodi asked Pat to steal the pack of cigarette's at the table next to ours while the girls there were dancing and he did and totally got caught. Anyone that knows him would think it was HILARIOUS because Pat is such a goodie two shoes when it comes to stuff like that and the one time he "steals" he gets caught. It was really funny. And the chick was practically a midget that was totally hitting on him before she went out to dance. I was making fun of him for that one big time.

Sunday was a drunk shopping day. We went to lunch with Pat's biz partner and his wife and one of their guys. He hit a goal that Pat and his partner set and so his prize was lunch and engraved Tiffany cuff links. So after lunch we headed over to Tiffany's. I love drunk shopping. No, I didn't get anything from there this time, but we did look. :) Then Pat and I separated from everyone else and did our own shopping. We got some good stuff. I got the most adorable shirt EVER. It's long sleeved tho so I won't be wearing it probably until it gets cooler outside.

So I guess it's safe now to fully announce that Jodi is moving. I'm SO SAD and SO BUMMED out. I'm really happy for her but I don't want her to leave. She basically got an amazing job offer back in Toronto where her sister and most of her closest friends live. It would be hard to give up an offer like that so she's going. The only thing is that she's leaving next week. So once again, I'll be living alone. It's going to be super weird having the house completely to myself. And she's taking Bruce too (it's technically her dog) so it'll be even more quiet around here. I just need to suck it up and get a freaking dog of my own because everytime I get attached to one, he's taken away :( At least I can hang out with Majik still.

That about sums up what's been going on over the last week. I've been really emotional, not like crying, but stressed out, sad, happy, and HOT (haha). I'm really going to miss Jodi alot.
