Today for our staff development day we had "teambuilding" and had a bbq at a fellow teacher's house. It was quite nice, I must say. He had just redone his backyard with a really nice pool and bbq area. The pool wasn't heated so it was still too cold to swim. I wouldn't have been in a bathing suit anyway in front of all the old farts. Sick. But it was a nice last day before vaca!!!! woo woo! I'm so happy. I actually have alot planned the entire time I'm off. I have to work Thursday since my friend is switching me days so I can get time off without taking sick days for Philly/DC. But subbing will be easy and it's fourth grade too so I know some of the kids already.
So this weekend was fun. Friday night was LATE. I didn't anticipate the evening we had but it was still fun. Pat cooked us a lovely dinner and then we met some people at a local bar. By 2am, someone had the bright idea to go to a club so I actually came home and got ready to go out! haha. We went to LAX and stayed until it closed, which was well after 4. I haven't done that in awhile! We had alot of fun though. Then Saturday we had a fun day with another couple. Pat and Ryan went shopping at the furniture store for the better half of the morning. I met them there after a few hours. Then we all went to lunch at this sweet new Spanish restaurant right down the street. We ate a TON and had a few drinks each and our bill was only $100. Not bad! It was so good too. Then we just chilled back at Pat's and watched a movie. That's pretty much how Sunday went too. I cooked a fantastic meal last night for Pat, Jodi and Mike. I love cooking and I miss doing it. I used to cook almost every night!
This week will definitely fly by. I can't wait for Friday. Pat and I are leaving early in the morn to drive to LA. Then we're gonna lay by the pool until the dinner reception. then my baby's getting his award! I'm so proud! I'm really excited for Disney too. I'm sure it'll be really crowded but I can't wait!
