Spice Girls concert was AWESOME. Omg I felt like I was in high school again! We had so much fun. We started out at Nine and got tons of yummy appetizers. Then we headed over to Mandalay Bay for the concert. Jodi's sister and I sat together and Jodi and her friend sat together. Before it started, everyone in the crowd started going NUTS so we looked around and David Beckham had arrived and was sitting in one of the suites. He's so hot, except he has jacked up teeth. Well then the crowd started going nuts again and this time it was because Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were there too and so was little Suri. I think she is the cutest little kid but Jodi thinks she is the antichrist. Anyway, the concert was like 2 hours long and hearing some of those songs again was just hilarious. I downloaded a bunch of their songs now and I'm obsessed all over again.
This week has flown by so fast. Last night Pat took me to the Magical Forest here in town. It's a small Christmas festival and companies come in and decorate these trees and there's tons of lights and things for kids to do. We walked around for a bit, froze our asses off, and then decided to go and see Santa. We even got our picture taken. It was so cute. Pat is just the best! He always finds little ways to do special things for me.
I had my second evaluation meeting with my asst. principal today. I got a good review and I'm not paranoid anymore. Administration is being SUPER weird this year and it's making me think that I'm not doing a good job. They're just so negative all the time. And it makes me laugh because we've had a "behavior mentor" come in to do special meetings and the whole premise of his philosophy is to stay positive and have a major positive to negative ratio. He said that the more positive that comes from us as teachers, the more it trickles down to our kids and the greater successes we will have. He also said that this philosophy is adopted by many large corporations and that they have seen progress. HELLO?! Don't you think that administration would want to do this too as an example instead of harping on the negative all the time? Practice what you preach!!!
I'm so happy it is the weekend. I have one more week of school then I'm off for a few weeks. I CAN'T WAIT!
