4 More Days and Counting

I cannot tell you how excited I am that I have 4 days left of work. I'm ready to pull my hair out and this break is coming at an excellent time. This week is almost a waste because I have several students out and the ones that are in are just not into school. I think everyone is burned out. It's hard to believe that I'm going home on Saturday. I'm really excited but I am NOT looking forward to packing. I'm gonna have to drag out all of my heavy wintery clothes and I'm going to have to bring my ginormous suitcase. Ugh. I'm really excited to see my girls and hang out with them. I feel like it's been forever, even tho it's only been like 3 months. And I'm excited to see Jackie's new house! Sunday, Missy and I are debating on whether to go snowboarding with the girls or go to the Lions game. I am so sports deprived out here that I want to go to some sort of game. Unfortunately the Wings are away all week so I can't go see them. I don't know what to do????

This weekend was pretty fun. Pat's so funny because he's learning that you can go out and have fun without spending tons of money! Friday night we went to a house party at one of my fellow teacher's house. It was really fun, although we arrived after everyone was wasted. Drunk teachers = hilarious. Saturday we putzed around all day and I hung out with Pat's sisters while he cleaned their giant fish tank. Saturday night we went to my work Christmas party at my principal's house. It was slightly awkward because my principal is not social at all, but whatever. Afterward we went to Bob and Erin's for their Christmas party. It was an ugly christmas sweater party and lots of people found the grossest sweaters. They also had a white elephant gift exchange and jodi brought the best gift (of course!). And, her gift could not have gone to a better person. Mike opened her gift of "Boyfriend of the Month" calendar. It was HILARIOUS.

Sunday we kind of putzed around again and then Pat and I built a gingerbread house. haha. He wanted to build a huge one, like a big doll house, but I knew it would take forever and be LOTS of work, so I bought one of those kits that makes a little one. It took us like an hour to put it all together and Pat ate half of the candy while he was putting it on - haha. He's so cute. But it looks awesome and we found a great location for it where Majik won't eat it.

I'm slightly annoyed today because I got no sleep last night and now I have to take my car in to be repaired. My check engine light has been on for awhile and I thought it was from when I had to get my oil changed, but my mom insisted I go and get it checked out anyway. So I did, and they had to order parts and now they're going to fix it tomorrow. At least I don't have to pay for it!!! :)
