I love laughing

This week went by soooooooo fast. Since I only technically had 2 days with my kids, I feel like the week didn't even happen! We had staff development Tuesday, which was actually pretty good. I learned some new tricks and techniques that I'm going to try out in my classroom. Then Thursday I had another off-campus training that I COMPLETELY forgot about until I was almost ready to leave school on Wednesday. So I had to scramble to get stupid sub plans done and low and behold, he did NONE of it. I love that.

Anyway, Thursday was such a great day. I woke up at 5:30 to make Jodi breakfast since it was her birthday. I think I scared the crap out of her when I busted out of my room that early! Then I went to that training, had an awesome lunch with Pat, did some shopping after school and then got ready for date night. Pat and I went to see Frank Caliendo's comedy show at Ceasar's, which was part of the Comedy Festival going on all week. If you don't know who Frank is, you should because he is HILARIOUS. He's got that new show on TBS "Frank TV" and he does impersonations of people that are DEAD ON. So we first went to dinner at this restaurant inside Ceasar's. It was pretty good. Our waiter was a douchebag but whatever. I had lobster and Pat ordered scallops so between the two of us, we had a fantastic dinner. As we were walking toward the arena, Pat picked out Frank walking in the opposite direction. It was really weird because it was only like 15 minutes before the show was to start. We were kinda pissed when we got to the room tho because on our tickets, we had seats but when we arrived, it was general admission. So it took us awhile to get seats but eventually we got there. Of course as we were walking in, we had to walk clear to the other side of the room and in turn, the guy doing the "pre show" decided to single Pat and I out and have a little fun. It was a little embarassing. But, the show was awesome and I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life. Pat was crying the entire time. He's so funny to watch at comedy shows. The show was taped and shown on TV last night. It was kind of exciting to be at a taping :) After we were leaving, we were walking back to the car and walked right past Chris Rock. He's alot smaller in person than I thought he would be. All in all, it was an incredible night and we had so much fun.

This weekend is Jodi's birthday celebration. Last night we went to a local bar and had a low key night. I think tonight we're gonna get a table somewhere and go big. I'm excited.

Only 5 more days until TURKEY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
