Yesterday I just had a HORRIBLE day. My mom and Elaine were visiting over the weekend and we had a BLAST. A girl's weekend was what we all needed and we made the most of it. I dropped them off at the airport yesterday morning before school and a normal 15-20 minute drive took an hour. Traffic was horrible, no matter which road I took. I was 30 minutes late for work and of course my AP and principal were in my hallway as I was walking in so I got totally busted. And I was just super depressed all day. I get SO homesick after I spend time with family. To really cap off my horrible day, I had to sit through a 3 hour class after school that was a total waste of time AND I had to pay for it.
However, I must gloat that I have the BEST BOYFRIEND EVER! I called him pretty upset during my prep and he assured me that he would do his best to cheer me up after class. So I went to his house afterward and he had dinner cooked and even fixed me (and him - lol) a delicious cocktail. He came outside as soon as I pulled up and gave me the biggest hug ever. Sometimes a hug is all you need. Dinner was excellent, then we watched tv and chatted and laughed and hung out and then, he pulled out dessert. He bought gigantic purple grapes (which I LOVE) and he also went to our new favorite frozen yogurt place and got us each a frozen yogurt with fruit AND one to share! He even got my toppings right! I was thoroughly impressed. Sometimes I just can't believe how incredibly lucky I am to have found him. He really is the best! It's about dang time I found a good one! ;)
