So there has to be some explanation for the behavior of men lately. Seriously they are all boneheads. Quite a few of my friends are going through bull shit with their men right now and I want to just clip them one-by-one. Why is it that a man can make or break your mood and that a man has the ability to turn your world upside down and inside out? I've been pondering this for quite some time and I still don't have the answer. If someone does, please enlighten me.
I know that this is the most annoying topic ever, but it' on my mind right now and it's bugging the crap out of me. I've come to realize that I am the worst spender in the history of spenders. I need to really sit down and come up with a serious budget. The funny thing is that my new man is my financial advisor, yet I'm scared to talk to him about my finances. haha. So I just sat down after school and wrote down all of my bills for each month and came up with what I spend on that and what I bring in a month. I have a decent amount of money leftover each month, yet I'm always broke. How does this happen? Pat told me to write down every single thing that I spend money on for a month and it should give me a good idea of where it's all going. I told him I was scared to do that. Other than him being my new boy, it's just weird talking to people about money knowing that they have more than enough of it and here I am struggling to be able to pay for a plane ticket home next month. He told me the other day how much money he has in his checking account and I almost fell over. How nice would it be to just have oodles of money to fall back on. Ugh. I know that everyone complains about not having money, but being a teacher blows sometimes. This other teacher at my school told me today that he is topped out and still doesn't make more than 40K. Granted that's without furtering his education at all, but he's been teaching 10 years and he only makes like 6 grand more than me! WTF?! That is all the more reason for me to get my act together and get my application done for grad school in the fall. The more I think about it the more excited I get to start this program. I know a few people that are doing it and they really like it. It's through Leslie University, which I guess is a pretty good school in Boston but they have these programs set up throughout the US. I'm going to be getting a "technology in education" degree. I don't have any interest in being an administrator so therefore my masters program is essentially just for a pay raise. However, I can be a computer specialist in the district once I'm done. The program at Leslie is really cool because you meet one weekend a month for three months and then the class is over. The weekend of class will suck I'm sure, but then I have three weeks until the next one. And I heard that it's not a ridiculous amount of work either. With the way that technology is heading now, I wouldn't be surprised if in the near future each student in school has a workstation and pencil and paper is eliminated completely. So I know that whatever I'm learning I'll be able to apply in my classroom.
On a closing note, I just wanted to say to all of the stupid idiotic boys out there - SNAP OUT OF IT.
