Well this past weekend has topped all other previous weekends thus far. I went home to Michigan for Jackie's bachelorette party and bridal shower. You know it's a good weekend when you only get like 10 hours of sleep in 3 nights!!! The plane ride here was torture as it always is when I fly red eyes. I could not get comfortable to save my life. Anyway, Friday night we had the party and it was seriously the best bachelorette party of all time. I missed my girls so much. We started out at April's with a sex toy party, which is always fun. They are always so goofy and corny but of course we make it fun. After April's we all piled into the limo and went to Tequila Rain. I'd never been there before and still have absolutely no idea where it is, other than in Novi, but it was a really cool bar. I felt slightly overdressed, considering we were all in sexy dresses and looked cute and everyone else there was in jeans and normal clothes, but oh well. We all looked hot - haha. We danced and laughed and talked to a million people in the bar. Then Jackie started puking around 12:30 so we had to leave shortly after that. Come to think of it we were probably only at the bar for like an hour and a half. haha. oh well. The bouncers were awesome and actually carried Jackie out of the back door to avoid the cops and put her in the limo. That ride home was torture, let me tell you. Riding sideways in a limo after a night of partying is not fun. Everyone got home in one piece and Jackie survived even tho she repeatedly said she was going to die. And my dad said I was grounded because I didn't come home until 5, but I got away with it because to me it was only 2 :)
Saturday we putzed around all day and had an easy day. I shopped a little with the girls and then we just had a bbq at Jackie's. Sunday was her shower and I think it was a huge success! It was very nice and it seemed as though everyone was having a good time. She got lots of stuff too. I was very sad that I had to leave Sunday night because everyone got together at Jackie's again but I could only stay for a little bit. From what I heard it was a super fun evening. I'm REALLY excited to go back home in August for the wedding. If the bachelorette party and shower was that much fun I can only imagine what it's gonna be like at the wedding!
So this weekend I'm really looking forward to since I don't have anything to do. Hallelujah. I've been gone the last two weekends and I feel like I haven't gotten anything done in two weeks. Next weekend a bunch of my friends are going to San Diego so I'm really looking forward to that. Actually this weekend is gonna be a blast again because we can all go out together. Most of my friends have been in Michigan over the last two weeks so we haven't all hung out in a while. And, I'm going on a killer date this weekend with the most awesome guy ever. He's taking me to dinner and then to a show. I haven't seen any shows here yet except for Seinfeld and he's not a regular show so I'm excited to see what Pat picks to do. I don't want to jinx anything but the more time I spend with him the more I really like him. He's so nice and so genuine and that's so rare to find out here. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it works out! :)
