So I have officially been reminded of why I hate airports so much. They smell so bad. They're just the worst place to sit and wait. It is one of my biggest pet peeves to sit at an airport for any length of time. Yesterday I got to Boise airport about an hour before my flight and sat and chatted with my family for about 20 minutes before going into security. There was NO ONE there at all. So I get to the gate thinking we're gonna board soon. NO. Our plane is delayed almost 45 minutes. I was incredibly annoyed. However, it could have been ok since I had a 2 1/2 hour layover in Salt Lake and if I was delayed getting in, I wouldn't have to sit in that airport for that amount of time. Anyway, we finally take off, like I said, about 45 minutes late and the entire plane ride probably wasn't more than 45 minutes. I get in to Salt Lake, grab a quick bite to eat and head to the gate. The gate still says we are leaving at 7:40 and by that time it was about 6:15. Well, a few minutes later, someone comes on the speaker and says that the plane coming in is late. How late? 1 freakin hour!!! I was pissed! I tried so hard to distract myself with reading or listening to music because there were some weird ass people in that airport! I almost felt uncomfortable! But, thankfully I didn't talk too long to any one person so it wasn't that bad. We finally got on the plane and got going a little more than an hour past our scheduled time. And that ride was only 45 minutes too. It kills me because the direct flight TO Boise was only an hour and a half. So my return flight literally took me about 6 hours total to get home. YUCK! Now I have to unpack, do laundry, and repack to leave for Michigan tomorrow. Thank God it's a red eye so I can sleep right through.
Boise was alot of fun. I don't get to see my relatives too often so I got to spend lots of time with them. My cousins and I went out Friday night to a couple of bars. All their friends kept saying "I hope you're having fun, even tho this is nothing like Vegas!" I get so annoyed when people say that. Yes, I do live in the craziest town, but I'm not one of those crazy party people so sitting in a random bar chilling is perfectly fine with me. Anyway, I'm REALLY looking forward to Michigan. I can't wait to see everyone and just chill with my family and not feel so rushed all the time. I'm also VERY excited to go to Miami. WOO HOO!!
