Well, I can't believe I actually survived my first week of teaching. It's such an awesome feeling. I started thinking about it today at work and how extremely happy I am to FINALLY be teaching. All of the school and job hunting and heartache was so worth it. I love my kids and I can't wait to teach the rest of the school year.
Not much happened this weekend. My mom went back home, which was really sad. We both cried at the airport. But she's coming back in like 4 weeks with my dad so that will be exciting and something to look forward to. Friday night we met Tiffany and Greg at Margaritaville and had dinner. I actually had a drink with my mom - hahahahaha. Then we headed over to Bellagio to see the water fountain show. I love that thing. It's so cool. Anyway, then Saturday I putzed around a little after I took my mom to the airport and then I went to a jewelry party that the art teacher was having at her house. My mentor teacher, Cecilia, who also teaches 4th grade, is the one who sells it so I thought it would be a good opportunity to mingle with the female teachers outside of school. After that, Joey came over and we hung out and watched more episodes of 24. Can you say OBSESSED?! lol. We watched it alot on Sunday too, in between meeting Barry, Kevin and Greg at Mandalay Bay to see Shark Reef. What a cool exhibit!!!!! I had never been and it was really awesome. It would be a good field trip to take!
Well I'm off to the bar to watch Monday Night Football. I'm in a pool at work so I'm hoping I win some $$$ this week :)
