Having four painters in a two bedroom condo painting everything at once was not fun. The condo now looks like a tornado swept through it. Stuff is EVERYWHERE. We're slowly but surely getting it back together. They did a really good job on painting. It's amazing what a difference it makes. We chose a light beige for the walls and white ceilings and baseboards. We figured it was traditional so it wouldn't scare anyone away when we try and sell.
The last three days I spent at school and I'm exausted. My room doesn't look like I did much, but I felt like I worked my tail off. There are three other new teachers at my school and one of the 5th grade male teachers graduated from Eastern last year. It is quite a coincidence. But the other new teachers are really cool and I'm glad I'm not the only first year teacher. I got to spend 2 1/2 days in my classroom getting things together. I must have moved everything around a million times. I think I'm gonna keep it how it is now, but who knows, I might change my mind next week. The school's laminating machine is out of laminating paper so I couldn't really put any of my posters up because I don't want them getting ruined without being laminated. But I did put up my two bulletin boards and it looks really cute. My classroom is actually pretty big and it's like a pentagon shape. And I have quite a bit of storage space too so that's cool.
I have to go to work at Justice today and I absolutely do not want to. I'm so done with that place. I think it's just because I know I'm a teacher now and working retail is not ideal. But I have like two weeks left.
That's about it for now. Hung out with Tiff and Dan last night. It was pretty fun even though they bailed on us before midnight!!!! haha. Oh and Joey won another $100 last night, on top of the $200 he won at lunch the other day, and $250 or $300 the night before that. Apparently he's on a role!!! :)
