So to begin, I was EXTREMELY proud of myself two weeks ago when I made 7 meals (4 of which were freezer meals) on a Sunday and cooked them all in the crockpot during the week! It took about two hours to chop and prepare the meals, but the best part was that my grocery bill was only $98! A big reason why I was so proud was because I did this the week before school started and it was the best thing ever to come home after being exhausted and the house smells like dinner! As a big fan of pinterest (or pin-interest as Chrissy calls it!), I found some recipes that I'd like to share and after, I'll give you my review.

Ok now for the reviews.....
Teriyaki Chicken - we really liked this! I'm not a huge pineapple person so it was alot of pineapple for me. But, the flavors blended well together!
Savory Vegetable Beef Soup - loved this!!! It made alot of food so it was a great leftover for the next few days!
Healthy BBQ Chicken - this was just ok. I had a vision in my mind that it would taste like bbq sauce and it tasted nothing like it. I used sweet potatoes instead of regular potatoes and they were really good! It was a TON of onions so I would probably cut the quantity in half.
Beef Stew - I didn't add the sour cream because I forgot to buy it. This was very thick and I like my stew a little thinner. It was still good, I would just add more liquid.
Chicken Shwarma - I'm obsessed with this. It's SO good. The original recipe calls for putting it in a pita with a cucumber yogurt and tomatoes. I'm not a yogurt person so I adapted it to serve over rice. It's SO easy and you typically have all the ingredients on hand, minus the chicken. I've found that if you cook it on high, it's much drier than cooking it on low for 8 hours.
Pot Roast - Really yummy!!!! Pat is not a big pot roast fan but when I make it like this, he eats it like it's his last meal. It's super easy, too, which makes it nice!
Chicken Fajitas - This is a great alternative to making traditional fajitas in a skillet. It was really, really good and also pretty easy. When it's done cooking, the chicken shreds pretty easily so you could even serve it over nachos. Yum.
Let me know if you make any of these and what you think!
