Need a break!

I need a break so bad I am about to explode. It's going around school so bad and I think everyone is on edge. I know it's not nice to complain since I technically only work 185 days a year, but when you're used to having certain times off and then you don't get it, it sucks. I am just burned out - big time. I do have a great class this year but they are so babyish and I feel like I constantly have to hold their hand. Not only that, but the parents expect me to hold their hands too. It's just starting to become annoying.

However, today I saw something totally cute. For Veteran's Day I had my kids write letters to Marines to thank them for their services. I had a few criteria that I wanted the kids to write and one of them was to thank them for..... and they could write what they wanted. This one boy wrote a beautiful letter with all of the components I asked for and at the end wrote "Thank you for protecting us from the tourists." I was laughing so hard when I read it. I just thought it was so cute. I guess tourists and terrorists sounds similar!

I am SO happy to have tomorrow off. I am planning on laying in my bed all day and relaxing. It's been awhile since I've done that!
