Stay a kid!

Oh man, first thing this morning I had to deal with DRAMA! One of my students came up to me before school even started, in the lunch room, and told me that another student was spreading rumors that she and him had sex. WTF?! Seriously?! I was so caught off guard I didn't even know what to say! It just flew out of her mouth like no big deal. I feel like I would have been so embarassed if that were me at that age! I immediately took the kid to my AP's office to deal with it. I didn't want to deal with that one at all. He eventually pulled the majority of my class out one by one to ask what was going on. I still don't know the details but I know that two of my boys are suspended and my AP ended up reaming out all of my boys in the afternoon. I had a little pow wow with my girls at the same time and just told them that school is not the place to gossip or socialize and I don't appreciate those kinds of things happening in my classroom. They're all apparently playing spin the bottle on the playground and apparently were secretly playing it yesterday while we were doing group work. I feel like such an idiot for not knowing they were doing it but I swear I keep an eye on my class! They're just sneaky!
