I feel like all I've been doing the last few days is going, going, going. My parents got here on Wednesday night and sadly, they are leaving tonight. We have done so much in the last few days! I took Thursday off of work and we went shopping and did some stuff around the house. My dad worked on his "daddy to-do list" and fixed Robbie's car. Then we went to eat at Robbie's restaurant for dinner. Friday I worked, then my mom picked me up and later went to dinner at Nine with Pat. I think they were blown away. They brought us complimentary appetizers, champagne and dessert. My mom loved the smores dessert. :)
Saturday was the big NHRA race so we were at the track most of the day. It was a perfect day outside - not too hot and not too cold. After that we went to dinner at Outback with Susie and Steven and Sue's bf Doug. We were all exhausted so dinner wasn't anything spectacular, although the point of it was to celebrate Robbie's birthday. Poor guy - lol. Sunday we had lunch with Pat's parents at Joe's Crab Shack. It was really good! I'd never been there before and will definitely go back. Then Steven, Susie, and Doug came over for birthday cake for a bit and then we headed down to the Mirage to see the Beatles LOVE Cirque de Soleil show. It was really, really good. It was much different than the other two Cirque shows I've seen so it's hard to say if it was better or worse. It was just different. I will definitely go see it again if I have the opportunity!
Today we have been running around everywhere trying to do some last minute things. I'm exhausted. Now we are just vegging out, watching the game.
Friday was my last day of work until May 7 and I am happier than a pig in shit right now. This is a much needed break. I'm really bummed that after that I will be working until Christmas. I know to most that is normal, but when you are used to having these breaks, it's going to be difficult. Plus I don't have vacation time or any of that so the most I'll have off is like a long weekend. Boo. I'm very much looking forward to chilling over the next few weeks and then going to NY with my baby!!!!!
