I can't believe it but those boys got here in two days, even after staying the night in Chicago. I went to visit Missy in Cali Wed and Thurs, and we all practically got home at the same time. It's been fun having them here. This weekend was like vacation, though and today is day 1 of reality. I made the boys help me move stuff into my classroom. It's really big. I like it alot. Already on my first day I felt more comfortable than I did at the other school altogether. It's going to be a good year :)
Like I said this weekend was like vacation. We hit up Ditch Fridays, which was fun since Tiffany and Dan came up there. I haven't seen them in awhile. I ran into a couple of other girls I knew too. Friday night we all stayed in and everyone passed out. Pat and I rented a movie and chilled. We watched Untraceable. It was creepy, but really good. Saturday we all went to Hard Rock pool and re-enacted Friday all over again. Pools during the day are always a disaster. Everyone eventually went out that night but I stayed home because I was not feeling well at all. I'm surprised they all went out. Sunday we lounged most of the day and then I cooked dinner. I love stuffed peppers. And then yesterday I took them to Red Rock and we went hiking. It was really fun. Way hot, but still fun.
I'm really excited because I was cleaning some things out yesterday and came across all of these games that I photocopied last year for the kids to do. They're called centers and they're like file folder games that reinforce a certain skill. Since I copied them all from another teacher's book, I have to color them, which takes FOREVER. But I had a million of them done and thought I lost them so I'm happy now that I found them. I'm going to go color now and relax. :)
