Whoa, I just realized it's been awhile since I've posted! Well I had my interview at the other school and I got the J-O-B!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited. I was doing the biggest happy dance ever when the principal offered it to me (I was talking to her on the phone so she didn't see me - lol). It's seriously just lifted a huge weight off of my shoulders. I finally feel like I'm free to teach now and not have to worry about all the nit-picky stuff. That drives me crazy!
My mom came into town last Wed at the last minute. We had decided to move my room over to Jodi's old one, since she had the master, and get Robbie's room situated. Since my room was purple, he asked if we could just paint it white. Sure! No big deal! WRONG. That was the worst experience I have ever had and I vow that I will never paint again. It took us literally like 3 days for paint his room. We were getting so irritated. I'm now painting my bathroom, which isn't too bad, but I'm still never doing it again. Now I remember why I hire people to do this shit. Ugh! The house is really coming along though. We also painted the molding upstairs since that didn't get done before we moved in. It makes a huge difference. We also got alot of other little projects done, which is nice. I know I wouldn't have started all of them anytime soon so it was nice to have my mom kick it into gear. It's been great having her here and sharing her all to myself. The only other time she's been here alone is when she had to rescue me when I moved into my first apartment. So, she tried to fly out of here on Monday (she flew standby) but flights were awful until Wed. She sat in the airport Wed and Thurs and got bumped from every flight. Since then, she's given up and just bought a ticket home. She leaves tomorrow and I'm really sad. Now I have to go back to living alone and having a totally quiet house. :(
I've been trying to fight this cold thing going on for like a week now. I'm stuffy right now and yesterday my throat hurt like a bitch. I took the day off but I ended up doing stuff around the house so I didn't really even relax. I hope I get to do that this weekend. I don't know what the plans are yet for the weekend. Honestly I don't feel like doing anything. I think I'm getting into a slump lately. I need to get my ass back into the gym cuz I feel like that has something to do with it.
I think that's about all of the news to report for now. I can't believe it's 11:30 on a Friday and I'm ready to hit the hay. At least I'll get some good sleep tonight!
