I Feel Like Bitching

I seriously hate this time of year at school. My kids are whack jobs right now. Middle, high, and 9 month schools got out yesterday and it's making everyone else nuts. My kids have the "I don't give a shit" attitude now and it's seriously driving me bonkers. I got so pissed at them on Tuesday that I forbid them from using any of my materials in the classroom, including the two big tables, until further notice. They leave shit EVERYWHERE, never clean up, and destroy all of my things. They have absolutely no respect at all. And, I got a good glimpse why.....

So I busted three of my kids the other day for skipping class to go outside for recess early. They told me they were working in the cafeteria so they needed to leave to eat first. That was true, however they were leaving 15 minutes before they were supposed to so that they could go play. One of them, in fact, wasn't even on the list to work! She just decided on her own that she wanted to work. So I told the three of them they weren't allowed to work for the rest of the year, and they had lunch detention for a week (yea I was pissed off that day). I told the little girl's grandma that day what had happened and she informed me that if her dad found out I put her on detention, he would flip out because he doesn't believe in time out. WHAT?! I was like you've got to be kidding me! So, parents don't spank their kids anymore and now they don't even put them in time out?! Wtf is going on nowadays? If I ever disrespected my teachers or any other adult, my ass was grass. Now kids have no responsibility and it's really disappointing. We wonder why kids are the way they are now! Ugh!

I am so excited that tomorrow is Friday. I need a break from school really bad. I'm hoping to be able to catch some sunshine because I feel really pale. I haven't been out in the sun for a few weeks now and I miss it....bad. Pat has a softball game tomorrow night so we're gonna do that and then hopefully just watch a movie. Then Saturday we're having date night and he's taking me to see Sex and the City. I'm SO excited! I wish I could go with my girls, but that's kinda impossible right now so I'll settle for the next best thing :) And, we're going to dinner at Nine tomorrow, which I'm super excited about as well, because I've been craving it so bad. I think I'm gonna get a nice steak this time. The last couple times I've been ordering appetizers. Yum. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
