Just Call Me Phoebe

Ok before I begin, let me just say that I HATE STANDARDIZED TESTING! We are doing it this week and it sucks really bad.

Now that I've got that out of the way...today I seriously felt like I was trapped on an episode of Friends. The one where Phoebe can't get her smoke alarm to stop beeping and ends up ripping it out of the wall. Thank goodness mine didn't start beeping until after I woke up this morning or I seriously would have went ape shit. I couldn't figure out for the life of me what was going on but this stupid thing kept beeping like every 30 seconds. I took the battery out and it STILL was beeping. It was like it was possessed or something! Jodi stole some batteries from the hospital today so we replaced two of the five and then two started beeping. I was so fed up that I called the fire department to see what we could do. Well, whatdya know, they sent out a unit to rescue us. HAHA! Out of the four that showed up, only one was cute. He liked Bruce too. I ended up having to go to the store and get all new batteries for each smoke detector and they cleaned them out too. It was hella embarassing but funny at the same time. Jodi made fun of me because while I was buying batteries I also picked up an US Weekly mag, but I left it in the car until the firemen left. didn't want them thinking I was taking my time at the store!

I got a new phone this weekend (did I mention that already?) and I can't, for the life of me, figure it out. It's starting to get annoying. The book that comes with it is just a shortened explanation of what the buttons are but it doesn't fully explain how to use them all. I'm not going to throw this one against the wall either so no worries. I know I don't have the best record with phones, but now that I finally have a nice one, I might be more inclined to take care of it. AND, for the record, my last phone was a p.o.s. that I had NOTHING to do with. I only threw it once, and that was into my closet and it just hit my clothes and fell on the floor. No damage done :)
