Well this weekend was a blast! The more I visit California, the more I like it. I still don't know if I'd want to live there tho. We'll see. Pat and I got off to a really late start Friday morning. For some reason it was really hard for us to get up. We arrived into LA around 3, checked in, relaxed, and then proceeded to get drunk at the hotel. We, well at least Missy and I, managed to have way too much fun at the hotel that we didn't even make it to dinner or out to the bar like we had planned. Pat and I ordered room service and it was sooooooo delicious. It felt like we ordered one of everything, there was so much food on that cart! Saturday we woke up really hungover, but made ourselves get up, eat, and have a drink to take the edge off. I want to barf when I do that, but it really does make you feel better. When Missy finally woke up, we all went to brunch down by the beach and then headed to Hollywood for some fun sightseeing. We walked down to the Chinese Theater and Pat and I got our handprints done on our own cement souvenier. It's totally cute. Then we went to the wax museum and the Ripley's museum. Both were really interesting and fun! After sightseeing, we went to meet up with some of Dave's friends for a beach bbq, but we were too late for the beach so we met up with them at a bar instead. We didn't stay very long because we were all so exhausted from the whole day. Sunday we went to brunch again, and got on the road at a pretty decent time. I felt kind of bad because Pat was desperately trying to find the football games on the radio the entire way home. I can't believe he didn't complain at all about missing the last two playoff games. What a guy!!!!! We did get home in time to see the last half of the Giants/Packers game, so that was cool. We seriously had so much fun in Cali and I really hope Missy gets to go back out there this summer again for work so I can go visit. It was a really shortened visit, but we had a blast. Dave is hilarious and he and Pat got along really well. I can't wait to go to DC in July :)
So wouldn't you figure that on my last two days off on track break, I start to get sick. Boo. I woke up this morning feeling super sick and groggy and now I just have a sore throat and I'm really really tired. I'm looking forward to getting a good nights sleep. Tonight has been really weird for me because I've been all alone. I haven't done this since I lived alone last year! Pat had to go back to LA tonight and tomorrow for work and Jodi's flying back here at some point tonight. Pat also has to go back to LA Friday. I don't know why we didn't just stay the entire week out there!!!!
