A DAY OFF!

Days off are the best. Today we are celebrating Nevada Day. The official day is technically on Halloween, but the state is nice enough to let everyone have the Friday before off for a long weekend. Today's been a great day so far. I slept in, stopped at the grocery store, made myself some breakfast, did some chores, and met Pat for lunch. I'm actually at his work now waiting for him to finish up with an interview. He's so sexy when he's working. I'm such a sucker for a hot business guy in a suit. Yum.

I have no idea what's going on this weekend. I'm kind of bummed because I've never really gone all out for Halloween before and I always hear everyone talk about parties and dressing up. Jodi and I do have an idea for costumes but we haven't gotten anything yet because we have no where to wear it to. There's a party tonight at one of my co-worker's house and I'm sure all of the clubs are having parties as well this weekend. One of the local bars is letting ladies drink free until sunrise tomorrow night. That sounds fantastic to me - however I am still not allowed to consume alcohol. Jodi already wants to cave and drink this weekend but I'm not sure if she can convince Pat and I to cave with her. We shall see...

On a super good note, I'm getting lots of help at school and I have two aides that are basically in my room for the majority of the morning. They're helping with my low kids and also pulling small groups of all levels for added instruction. They've been in my room the last two days and already I feel relieved. Oh AND, I had two parents come into school yesterday and comment on how happy they are to have their child in my class. They said I was a great teacher and very helpful. Those little comments make it all worth it! I also had a conference last Friday with a parent and this week alone I have seen SO MUCH progress with his child. He's learning so much and applying himself more and the growth is just amazing. It's such an awesome feeling to know that I'm helping him achieve goals! :)
