This weekend was a BLAST! I can't believe I went out Friday and Saturday night after the week I had with being sick, but I'm glad I did. Friday night we went out to VooDoo Lounge at the top of the Rio. I'd never been there before and that place is really cool. It has an AWESOME view of the strip and a huge patio to party on. I didn't drink a lick of alcohol that night but still managed to have alot of fun. We stayed there pretty late and then went to a regular bar by my apt to eat. I've been to this place a few times and always noticed the little two lane bowling alley but never partook in the action. Well Friday night I did. There were only 5 of us there and Jodi wasn't feeling well so we had a partner competition. I felt like I was 5 pin bowling in Canada because the bowling ball was so tiny that it fit in the palm of your hand, and the pins were on ropes that just picked back up after the frame was done. Of course, me and my partner Pat won! We had a blast. Jodi and I left the bar and when we walked out it was light outside! We couldn't believe it. When we got home it was 5:30am. oops!!! Saturday night we all went to Rain at the Palms. I really really like that club. I'd never been there before either. We got there kind of early so we didn't have to wait in line long so we were the first bunch in the club but it got busy REAL fast. We danced ALOT and every so often they have these huge flames that shoot out all over the top of the dance floor. I thought for sure my hair was gonna catch on fire but it didn't. After awhile, Pat and his friends came in and let us up into VIP so we hung out there. Things are so much better VIP. Anyway, my friends were all being lame and wanted to leave but I stayed. Me, Pat, and his best bud Jimmy hung out for a little while before leaving the club. On our way out, they wanted to sit down and play blackjack so I joined them. I was just gonna watch, but this drunk ass sitting next to me put $100 chip down in front of me and told me to play. So I did! And I was up to like $800 bucks before we left. So I pocketed $300! Sweet!!! We stayed out pretty late again that night and the sun was starting to peek up as I was pulling up into my apartment. Cripes. Sunday, I hung out with Pat and Jimmy again at the Golden Nugget pool downtown. When they first told me they were going down there I thought it would be a dump since it's downtown. It was actually pretty nice and the pool was awesome! They have a huge waterslide AND a giant shark tank in the middle of the pool. Sounds freaky, doesn't it? The sharks in this tank were easily as long as I am tall so I'm sure they could swallow me whole. It was a weird sensation swimming in a pool knowing there's only a piece of glass separating you from sharks. I didn't stay at the pool very long cuz Jodi and I were hosting our very first dinner party. We decided to cook for Mike and the boys for Sopranos and had to make none other than chicken parmesan. Our dinner was quite a success! I was pretty proud. Sopranos sucked tho. I was extremely pissed off about that episode. It was a waste of an hour in my opinion. But whatever.
I have some busy weekends ahead planned. This upcoming weekend I'm going to visit friends in Phoenix. I've never been so I'm pretty excited! Then next weekend I'm going to Michigan for Jackie's bachelorette party and shower. That weekend will be a blast for SURE! Then the weekend after that I have friends in town and the weekend before the 4th I'm going to San Diego! Some of my friends are going and I think Pat and his gang are going too. I'm seriously having THE TIME OF MY LIFE right now meeting new people and hanging out. Being single is one of the best things ever to happen. :)
