Pissed off and extremely disappointed
All day today I was incredibly annoyed with my students. They were bouncing off the wall and acting like it was impossible for them to keep their mouths shut for more than 5 seconds. But nothing compared to what happened after school. I was shutting down my computers and getting ready to go home when I realized that my Ipod was no longer plugged into my computer. At first I thought I must have put it in my purse already or something but after looking everywhere, I realized that it had been stolen. I would be willing to bet money that it was one of two kids in my class. So I went through every kid's desk after school to see if anyone was dumb enough to leave it in their desk. As I was looking in one of the desks, I found one of my vitamin packets that was on my desk last week. What do you know? It was one of the student's that I think probably took my Ipod. I know that a vitamin packet isn't a big deal, but it's the concept. she's taken things before of other kids and she stole a lump of clay last week from the art teacher. So tomorrow I'm going to write her ass up for stealing to start a paper trail on her. I'm not letting my kids use anything of mine anymore. I JUST had this conversation with them earlier about how they are destroying my things that I bought out of my own pocket. Most of my books are ripped, about a 1/4 of them are missing, my markers are all dried out as well as my glue sticks, and everyday they leave all kinds of shit everywhere. I'm sick of being their mothers! I know they're kids, but they're 10 years old. they are more than capable of cleaning up after themselves and taking care of things. so from now on, no more nice ms. thomas. We're not playing anymore games in class because all of my games require using MY stuff, and basically no more fun. We're doing strict book work and I'm busting their asses with classwork and homework. I'm so sick of playing nice teacher and getting shit on. It hurts my feelings more than anything because I give and give and give to these kids and they have no appreciation whatsoever.!
