I love going home so much, but whenever I get back to Vegas, I feel so homesick. It was so awesome being home and hanging out with everyone for such a long time. I'm glad I decided to be home for 10 days. I needed it. And it was also awesome having Robbie visit me for a few days as well. Even though I wasn't up for partying with him 24/7, it was still fun having him around and hanging with him when I could. We did some cool stuff while he was there. I was able to take them all to Ghostbar in the Palms one night and it was super fun. There was of course a line to get in, but my brother's "girlfriend" or whatever she is, and I went up and sweet talked our way in. So we bypassed the line and didn't pay cover. Booya! It was freezing cold that night so we didn't spend too much time outside on the balcony but they still got to see it. Robbie pushed me onto the glass bottom floor, which I was not happy about, but whatever. We had a ton of fun and I even had some Italian guy pull me aside and talk to me in Italian for like 2 minutes. I had no idea what he said but it was funny.
So the day after my brother left, I packed my bags and headed out to Cali. I knew I had to get out of my apartment or I would go stir crazy and get super depressed being there by myself after being around family so much over the last two weeks. This time I decided to drive and I can honestly say that I will do whatever I can to NOT drive there again. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if I had someone with me, but 5 hours in a car alone sucks. I was so bored and people in California SUCK at driving. I was ready to murder everyone on the road by the time I got to San Diego. Of course, once I got there, it was all worth it though :) I love San Diego more and more each time I visit. Now I see why Dan and Tiffany are so eager to move back one day! I would love to live there too someday, I just hope I would be able to afford it! It's so dang expensive to live in Cali!
While in San Diego, I experienced my first Red Wing game outside of Joe Louis Arena. Tom and I went to the Kings/Wings game in LA on Saturday. It was ALOT of fun. The game was REALLY good, even though the Wings lost in the 3rd period. They were winning up until that point. But, like I said, it was still a good game. I was shocked at all the Wings fans tho. I would say about 1/4 of the people there were sporting Wings jerseys/shirts. And there was cheering too, when the Wings scored. Woo hoo!!! I took a few pictures but I don't have them yet to post so when I get them on the computer I'll post them. I will say though, that the only thing I was disappointed about is their sportsmanship. They were doing chants throughout the game saying "Wings suck" and some douchebag started the same chant after the game as everyone was herding outside. I honestly don't see how that is necessary. Oh AND, one of our players got hurt too and after he was escorted off the ice by the doctors, the crowd BOOED him instead of clapping that he was ok. I was like cmon are you serious? I'm not a sore loser. I'm really not. But don't be disrespectful, especially if you were the one that walked away with the win!!! geez!
All in all, I've had yet another GREAT visit to San Diego. It's starting to feel like my second home! I have to head back to Vegas soon to prepare for next week at school. I can't believe my winter vacation is over. It was definitely one of the best overall vacations I've ever had!!!!! :)
