What a Day!!!

Well, today was crazy, but not nearly as bad as yesterday. I had to go to the dentist Monday to get 2 cavities filled (bad I know) and so the dentist gave me some pain meds to take if I needed them. Yesterday afternoon I needed one. About 2 hours later, I hit the wall. I thought for SURE I was going to throw up. I couldn't even move I felt so sick. So the counselor came in my room and took over for the rest of the afternoon while I laid on her couch in her office. It was bad. I can't believe I drove home, but I did. Thankfully I don't live far from school. Then I took a 2 1/2 hour nap and stayed in bed all night long. I could barely even get up to go to the bathroom!!!! I started to freak myself out because there would have been no way a sub could survive in my room right now because of how unorganized everything is. So I kept thinking about what I was going to do if I was still sick this morning!!!!! But, I woke up feeling better so i was happy. Then, the day just started going downhill. I had the other kids in the morning (team teaching, remember?) and they were HORRIBLE! They're going on track break starting tomorrow so it was like they had "the last day of school syndrome". We switched classes back after lunch and then my kids were horrible!! They just would not shut up. I was seriously ready to pull my hair out! It must be a full moon or something.

On a good note, the one girl I told you about before ate lunch with me today. We had a conference before lunch and she decided that her behavior improved from last week but it could still get better and so I let her eat with me. I figured it was ok to let her slide a little since it was the first lunch we could have together and that way she'd see how cool it was. She absolutely loved it. Everytime I saw her after lunch she always tried to hug me and tell me how much fun she had. Hopefully it worked.

Well I'm off now to a new teacher training thing. It's three hours long and I'm going to want to die. I hate going to these things!!!!!!
