What a Weekend...

This weekend went by in a blur!!!! Friday night Vincinzo spent the night and I got zero sleep. That kid moves around like a fish out of water when he sleeps!!! I had to get up early to go to work (and I was an hour late!) but I left at 1:30ish when the other manager got there. Then I did LOTS of running around getting last minute things for Joey's bday. By the time I got home, I had just enough time to bake his cake and get ready to go out. We had an awesome dinner at Hikari with lots of friends and family. It's always fun to get everyone together. From there we went out to a club and hung out with a few people. That's a different story that I will tell those of you I talk to on a regular basis - haha. Anyway, we came home around like 2:30 I think and Joey and I decided to go to Loose Caboose next door and hang out together to end the evening. We gambled for like 3 hours somehow on like $100 and we were up (I think) but blew it all. Oh well. We finally came home for good at 5:30 and crashed. Sunday was the best day ever because we didn't leave the house at all. We woke up around 1:30, watched TV for a little bit, fell back asleep for like 2 hours and then just lounged ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT. It was awesome. We haven't had a day like that in a while and we both needed it really bad.

Today it was kinda hard to get up and go to school. Kayo kept me up half the night tossing and turning and plopping down on me constantly. Plus I was still in lazy mode from yesterday. I had a seminar ALL DAY at school and it basically reiterated alot of what I learned a million times over in college. Tomorrow should be more interesting as I think we have a meeting in the morning and then we are having a "going away" party for the assistant principal cuz he took a principal job at another school. Then that's my last day of school (officially) until September 18, when my kids arrive!!! I got my class list today and I have 27 students. Not bad I guess. I'm going to go in to school Wednesday when all the other kids start school and float to the other 4th grade classrooms to pick up on some first day of school pointers. When I start school, one of the other teachers and I are going to team teach, which will be so much easier. I'm going to teach math and science and she's going to do social studies and english (woo hoo!). That means that I have two less lesson plans to write PER DAY and our science units are practically laid out for us in kits that we get throughout the year. So I'm pretty stoked.

Well I'm off. Joey and I decided to start watching 24, so we rented some episodes to get caught up. I'll probably only make it through one though since I'm sleepy! Oh, and today Joey bought me the new Christina Aguillera CD (I love surprise presents!) so I can't wait to listen to it. I hope it's as good as her last one!!! Oh and Nip/Tuck starts next Tuesday! YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!
