My trip to Michigan

Boy Missy was right. I think I am more homesick now that I've visited Michigan than before!!! I spent the entire weekend with my family and it was just what I needed. I can't believe it had been almost 5 months since I'd seen anyone in my family. That's so strange to me!!! Well I flew in on a red eye Thursday night and I was completely uncomfortable the entire flight. I had a window seat but it was one where the window was in the wrong place so it was really hard to find the comfortable spot while leaning against the window. Well I got in at 5:30 am and my mommy came and got me. It was kinda weird driving home because for the most part everything looked exactly the same. When we got home, my dad was up making us breakfast and to my complete surprise, he made me Mickey Mouse pancakes with sausage. It was yummy and very cute considering my dad used to make those all the time when I was little. After my parents left for work, I went to sleep and apparently didn't move for 5 hours because I woke up in a HUGE puddle of drool, I was in the same position I fell asleep in, and I was sweating to death. Needless to say it was a good sleep. The remainder of the weekend was mostly spent at my grandma's since she has the biggest house. My cousin Tiff, from Boise, and her boyfriend Casey and 9 month old baby girl Ava came in Friday afternoon. My Aunt Susie flew in Thursday night, and my Aunt Donna drove in from Chicago on Saturday afternoon. My grandma's house was busy all weekend long. The girls, of course, went on a shopping spree to Kohls and we all got matching flip flops. Actually I went to Kohl's twice :) I got a HUGE pink beach towel too (and my mom has a matching one!) Jackie met me and my family of girls for lunch at Applebee's on Saturday. Chrissy was supposed to go but for whatever reason decided to eat before we did so I never did get to see her. Whatever. My family also all went to Outback, which was fun, since Robbie and Molly were working. So all in all it was an awesome weekend and I feel very refreshed. I missed my family SO much and I can't wait to see everyone again. My parents were already planning on coming out here in October but now it is appealing to all of my family so I guess we are having my dad's 50th birthday celebration here in Vegas!!! YAY!!!!
