Well like I said in my previous post I had an awesome time in Michigan. And even though it made me a little more homesick than I was before, I'm still so glad to be home in Vegas. I'm really only homesick for my family, not Michigan. When I was there, I realized just how much I LOVE living out here and I can't imagine my life if I was still in good ole Southgate. I'm in a really good place right now and I'm happy. I'm happy to be home with my two boys - Joey and Kayo. :)
So some other news - I have an AWESOME birthday weekend coming up. Joey got hooked up with a junior suite for two nights - Sat and Sun - the weekend before my birthday at Treasure Island. So to my knowledge, we are going to Tangerine, which I hear is an awesome club at TI one night and the other night I have no idea. Joey is being super cute and planning this big secret or something. I feel totally out of the loop but it makes it fun. And I can't wait to see what he got me since he keeps telling me I'm going to love my present. I love presents!!!
Hmmm, what else? Well I had a GREAT 4th of July. Joey and I slept in and ran some errands in the early afternoon. We picked up a crap load of fireworks that we lit off in the parking lot of the condo. His mom, brother, sister, her bf, and Vincinzo all came over and we hung out all day and played by the pool. Of course, the one day this summer where we've been so excited to hang out all day and it rains. It was weird. Rain here is VERY rare. But anyway, we made the best of it and it stopped by the time we were ready to light off fireworks. They were really cool and fun. Then we sat in the parking lot and watched the BIG Vegas fireworks that were being lit from the park right around the corner. We had awesome seats and didn't have to be surrounded by masses of people. So altogether, the day was really fun and relaxing.
Oh and one last thing....I think I got a job!!!! I had an interview the other day and they extended the offer to me for a full day kindergarten teacher :) But, I think there's some paperwork issues or something that they have to work out before the offer can become official. But when the principal told me they were very interested I seriously wanted to hug her. I really hope it works out because it seems like a great school to work at - even though some of the kids don't speak Engligh when they come to kindergarten!!! - and one of Joey's really good friends works there and will be a teacher mentor next year. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Ok so long for now. Time to hang out with my boys and watch UFC!
