Two interviews in one day...phew!

It's only 11:00 and I've already had two interviews. My first one was at a school right around the corner from my house and it was really nice. The interview only lasted like 10 minutes and I'm not sure if that's good or bad. They said they were still interviewing next week and they would call me by the end of next week if they felt I was the one for the job. It was a 5th grade position, which I'm not thrilled about, but I would adjust. So then the second interview I went on, they offered me the job! I was like WHAT?! But, there's a few things about the school that I'm not so sure of. It's not in the greatest neighborhood and they are a severly struggling school. So, they have extra funding and an additional program which is designed to help the teachers and students achieve higher levels of learning. That's a plus and a negative. A plus because I would have alot of resources and alot of help, which is good for a first year teacher, but with that comes more responsibility and accountability not to mention more paperwork. And from what I've heard, it's ALOT of paperwork. But the teachers were all really nice and all had awesome things to say about the school and the kids and parents. It's predominantly hispanic and they even have interpreters for those parents who don't speak English. I know if I took the job it would be a challenge, but then again what teaching job isn't? So I'm stuck. I'm supposed to let the principal know on Monday and I can't come up with a definite decision. I still can't believe I'm contemplating turning down a teaching position. I'm still in that "Michigan" mindset where jobs are so hard to comeby that you take whatever you can get. But here it's alot more lenient. Supposedly they are currently 1000 teachers short in the district. That's alot of teachers. Ugh, isn't there ever a time in life where you don't have to make life altering decisions?!
