So last night just reminded me of how much I love living in Vegas. It's cool to go 5 miles down the road to the strip and feel like you're on vacation and still get to drive home and sleep in your own bed!!! One of Joey's students at the race track is the head matre d' at this Japanese steakhouse in Bellagio. So he told Joey to come in any time for dinner and he'd hook him up. Well last night we decided we wanted to go. We walk in, meet his friend - Caesar - and feel immediately like VIP's. He took our drink order and told us he had it all hooked up. So while we're waiting for our seats, this photographer comes up and tells us to go outside so we can get some pictures taken! So we went out to the balcony that overlooks the infamous Bellagio fountains and had a crap load of pictures taken. This one below is my favorite.

So anyway, after the pictures are done, we get seated at the sushi bar and soon there is a TON of food in front of us. I've tried sushi before (like the actual piece of raw fish on top of rice) and couldn't get past the fact that I was eating raw fish so I never ate it again. But I do like california rolls and shrimp tempura. Well, since this was all comp'd, I decided to have an open mind and try it all again. So our appetizers consisted of some sort of lobster roll, shrimp, scallops, and tuna with some sort of peanut stuff on it. It was actually all really good. Then came the sushi. We had yellow tail, tuna, a dragon roll with eel (yeah I still can't believe I ate that), and a california roll. I'm not sure that I would actually order all of that if I was paying for it, but it wasn't bad and actually pretty good. Oh I forgot the good part - we also had about 3 bottles of some sort of special saki that was expensive as crap so naturally we had to drink it all on top of the japanese beer and our original cocktails. So by this time we are about ready to explode. But there's more! We're led back out to the patio overlooking the fountain for dessert, which consisted of the biggest dish I have ever seen and about 10 different desserts. It was so yummy. And it was really cool to sit out there relaxing after dinner watching the fountain show!!!! Sitting out there just reminded me more and more of why I love Vegas so much. It really is one of the coolest cities in the world!!! So that was my AWESOME night last night :)
