My first day of work and I already hate it (kinda)

Well after working my first official shift at Kohl's, I have now been reminded of how much I HATE retail. After sitting in front of a computer for 3 hours doing "training", I was put out on the floor to straighten clothes. And the managers were all excited because I have experience from working at fabulous 5-7-9 (joking about the fabulous part!!!) so they think I am like a master at making the store look pretty. It's not rocket science. But it's so incredibly annoying when you just finish straightening something and some dumb bitch comes up and messes it all up again!!!! I wish that we could use our ipods while working cuz that would make the time go faster. Instead you have to talk to customers and I hate that. Notice how whenever someone says "hi how are you?" your automatic response is "good thanks how are you?". Even if you're in a pissy mood, you don't care to share that with a total stranger so really what is the point of asking someone how they are when you KNOW what they are already going to say?! And engaging in that same conversation for hours on end while working SUCKS. I guess I just have to be thankful to have some sort of income now and that I don't have to do strenuous work to make money. Ok that's my complaint for the day ;)
